There’s a Dragon Age II demo, this much we know, but the specifics of when it will be available, which platform it’s on, and to whom it will be available to is kind of up in the air.


Here’s the story – a specific page on developer BioWare’s official website delivers word of a PC-only demo of Dragon Age II that is being made available on February 11, 2011 ONLY to GameStop employees who have been granted access via a special demo code. This access, which comes with the instructions that the demo code should not be distributed or shared in any way, is a timed exclusive of sorts as the website states that the demo will become available to “all consumers” come February 23, 2011 – about two weeks or so before the game hits retail.

In addition, the website mentions the two items specific to GameStop pre-orders taking place before the game’s March 8 release which include ‘The Lion of Orlais Shield’ and ‘The Fadeshear Sword’.
So, we can pretty much guarantee that the DAII demo will drop on February 23, but will it be coming to the PS3 and 360 ahead of launch as well? Also, what exactly is the content of the demo and how will it convince newcomers and original DA fans alike that this sequel is the real deal?
