Battlefield 1943 and Onslaught, the co-op add-on for Battlefield: Bad Company 2, have been officially canceled on PC.
DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson posted the announcement on the Battlefield blog, saying the company is refocusing its efforts to deliver “the greatest possible gaming experience in our next behemoth release” with Battlefield 3.
The downloadable titles were a success on consoles, with 1943 generating $16 million and selling over one million units over Xbox LIVE alone.
Troedsson said Battlefield 3 is expected to be the biggest launch in DICE’s history and promises more exciting news on the blog.
Is this a disappointment for PC Battlefieldfans, or is it worth a few cancellations to have a better Battlefield 3?
