Major Nelson has posted on his blog that both Xbox Live and Xbox.com will receive a few minor updates in the coming days.

First up, an Xbox Live Dashboard updated will be issued today that will re-enable users to set their consoles to either boot up to the Dashboard as usual, or, boot up directly to the game in the disc tray. This feature was in the Dashboard before, but has been away for quite some time now. You can find this feature in the ‘System Settings’.

Next, on Thursday, January 20th, Xbox.com will have an update in the design of players’ Gamercards, where the ‘look and feel’ have been given a fresh take. Additionally, the Gamer Zones have been taken off the card, though, not quite sure who will really miss it anyway.

So, yeah, expect to see those small changes take place in the coming days, and hopefully you like the new Gamer Card layout.
