The Spike VGAs came and went, but one thing was not on the docket for a reveal at the gaming awards show – EA’s highly anticipated Battlefield 3. However, it looks like one is in the cards very soon, as IGN has revealed that EA plans to reveal the game during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco this March.

According to IGN, EA will also have some new game announcements on tap for the event, as well as “hands-on time” with other upcoming titles, including Shadows of the Damned, Alice Madness Returns, Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning, and Crysis 2.

Battlefield 3 is set to launch sometime this year. Gamers who picked up the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor also scored an invitation to the BF3 beta, but no details have been revealed as to when that will take place.
