I think this can definitely change the gameplay in many many ways, and the options are limitless. I mean, it could be used for puzzles, action sequences, platforming, teamwork puzzles. Example could be two people on different sides of a pit, and one has to shoot a ball that has a magnetic key attached in order to help the sackboy across the pit get through doors or stuff. I dunno it could work. But yeh it will make loads of levels really innovative and unique.
or you coud put grenades and murder evreyone !!!(yes i do not have imagination)
It's going to be spammed to death and used for guns, but there are lots of options, such as building a path for yourself.
Sounds like a very useful tool indeed. Just another factor in which creators can add another element of complexity into their levels.
You can also use it to hit switches from afar and drop down bridges.

Clearly you don't know what the LBP community is capable of. They're going to use this and all the new tools in ways we never dreamed of. So we as a small splinter group of said community must strive to do so as well! =D
The minority will. I agree that there will be some other awesome uses, but quite a lot of the community may just decide to use it for possibly the most fun and competitive, rather than strategic, use. Just like all the bomb survival games.
This is going to be a very fun tool to use, and as someone mentioned, it could even be a game-changer.
