Tired of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood already, half a day before it’s officially released?
Apparently Ubisoft is, too.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed another Assassin’s Creed installment is in the works for 2011, during an investor call this morning.

“There will be something around Assassin’s [next year]. That’s all we can say,” Guillemot said.
CFO Alain Martinez clarified slightly more: “Maybe after Christmas in January we’ll be able to talk about what kind of product we have.”

Neither CEO or CFO described the release as a new title, but they didn’t say it wasn’t, either. Releasing a new game would be in direct contrast to the mentality of Ubisoft Montreal’s Jean-Francois Boivin, who said the franchise would need a breather after Brotherhood.


Guillemot is fine with suffocating the life out of Assassin’s Creed as long as it means more profit.
“We want to come out every year with three or four major brands that will deliver a high level of profitability. That’s the goal we have today,” Guillemot said later in the investor call.
