Even though the service has flown under the radar for many gamers, the Indie Games section of the Xbox LIVE Marketplace has been and continues to be an outlet for many awesome games that otherwise wouldn’t have seen release. Even Microsoft has been somewhat neglecting of the service, muscling the Indie Games section to the “Specialty Shop” in the big fall update, a move that rightly pissed off many indie devs looking to get some needed focus (Microsoft has since rectified the issue). However, many devs on the service are still struggling for attention, especially when taking on offerings in the strongly marketed Xbox LIVE Arcade.


Now, Xbox LIVE Indie Devs are staging their own promotion in an effort to get some of that MS Point love. The Indie Games Winter Uprising is a promo that will put some much needed focus on some of the best and quirkiest indie games available on the service.

For one week, Xbox 360 gamers can get their hands on games more than a dozen games including Ubergridder, Cthulhu Saves the World, Chu’s Dynasty, and Epic Dungeon for a steal, with prices ranging from 80 to 400 Microsoft Points. The promo runs during the first week of December, so get ready to show your support for some of the best and brightest Indie games available on Xbox 360.
