Ubisoft’s E3 presser ended with a bang of epic, medieval proportions, with a brilliant Assassin’s Creed Revelations cinematic trailer and gameplay demo follow-up.
The cinematics showed an aging Ezio about to be hanged from the highest rafters of a mountain tower and a slew of battles before his capture. Altair’s projection appeared briefly on the rafter next to him, before Ezio turned to deliver an elbow to the face of his noose-master, and the trailer ended.
The gameplay footage featured Ezio in Constantinople circa 1511, blowing up docked Templar ships with a bow-mounted flamethrower and parkouring across exploding boats. The flames and fights left Ezio on a ship alone, floating away as the fleet burned behind him.
In the storyline’s final installment, Ezio will discover Altair’s past, memories and essence on an intimate level–and then we’ll never see them again.
