Paramount Digital Entertainment pulled back the curtain just a bit on a new title heading our way next year. An as-yet-unnamed Star Trek title is in the works by developer Digital Extremes and is currently slated for a release sometime next summer.
The game is said to be a co-op action/adventure title; emphasis on co-op. Players will step into the roles of Kirk and Spock to stop a “legendary enemy race” that is threatening the galaxy. “Star Trek challenges the boundaries of co-op gameplay with a galactic adventure that gamers and fans have never experienced,” said Tom Lesinski, president of Paramount Digital Entertainment.
The tile is being written by God of War scribe Marianne Krawczyk and several alumni from the highly successful 2009 Star Trek film are also involved including Producer Damon Lindeloff and Writers Bob Orci, and Alex Kurtzman. Star Trek is being developed for a cross-platform release on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

Eh, I'm not really interested in this game...although the co-op sounds pretty fun. As long as it's not going to be star trek online then I'm fine with it. Is it a movie based game? cause if so then they would be wasting their time.
