GamerZines is reporting that the Killzone fans amongst you can officially look forward to experiencing the franchise on Sony’s recently-revealed NGP, or PSP2 if you will. There’s a twist though, as series developer Guerrilla, who also developed the PSP title Killzone: Liberation, won’t be the ones developing the game for NGP, but will rather hand-off the duties to SCE Cambridge who have developed the PSP iterations of both LittleBigPlanet and MediEvil amongst other things.
Despite the change of studio, the source of the information, Guerrilla Games Steven Ter Heide, comforted Killzone fans with the following quote:
“We’ve been working with them very closely for a couple of years now. They’ve been helping us develop actual Killzone content for all the games. We feel like the game is in good hands. We’ll still oversee it because the universe is something we’ve built up, we know the war and the rules that have been established, but they’re driving the development.”
No further specifics on the game itself have emerged as of yet, but we’ll of course keep you posted as soon as they do. So, any thoughts on how Killzone will translate to the NGP?
It should translate well, I think Killzone has got it’s own unique look and feel that I’m sure will make the transition. I just hope it makes it well, plus what on earth are they going to use the track pad at the back for?
Hopefully something similar to the Six-axis controls in KZ2, which I think were overlooked by many journalists and gamers. I think it was subtle, but really well implemented how you were able to grab and open up doors by turning a crank.
Track pad in the back is for when you zoom in with sniper, use it for head shots :D

Yeah in the latest Henchmen Cast, the guys were talking about how the third party games, or games coming out for the PSP2 or NGP aren't going to be developed by the main developer but it is going to be developed by some alternate third party developer for the portable. (Which is gay.)
That's lame, if they are going to do something, they best do it right than do it at all.
