At its recent IGNITE event this week, Namco Bandai showed off the Saber Interactive developed shooter, Inversion. Saber Interactive, makers of TimeShift, announced Inversion back in 2009 and, though it is still in a pre-Alpha stage, they have now announced a release date – February 7, 2012.
Jeff Mattas from ShackNews got some hands on time with the gravity bending game at IGNITE, and offers up some great impressions here. In a nutshell, Inversion is a cover-based third-person shooter that heavily involves the manipulation of gravity. It sounds like an interesting prospect, but be sure to check out Jeff’s thoughts and let us know if this game seems intriguing to you. Or is a year out just too far away for you to care, what with all of the great games coming out between now and then?

It looks like it could be an interesting concept, if they can pull it off. But with it being a year out, I’ll put it on the(far)back-burner, and wait for some more footage.
Timeshift had some great components towards gameplay but the story telling was so terrible. Hopefully they get a proper story teller this time around.
