Microsoft’s Refer-a-Friend program is active now for Xbox LIVE Gold members, sending you goodies for guilting your buddies into going Gold. How cute; Microsoft thinks you have friends.
The process is pretty simple. Invite a friend via Gamertag to score these rewards:
A. Get your free member friend to go Gold and you’ll get 400 Microsoft Points and your friend will get 400 Microsoft Points. Tokens to download Points will expire on December 31, 2011. Once downloaded, promotional Points will expire on June 30, 2012;
B. Get your free member friend to go Gold and you’ll get multiplayer arcade game and your friend will get multiplayer arcade game of Sponsor’s choosing;
C. Get your free member friend to go Gold and you’ll get 600 Microsoft Points and your friend will get 600 Microsoft Points. Tokens to download Points will expire on December 31, 2011. Once downloaded, promotional Points will expire on June 30, 2012; or
D. Get your free member friend to try Gold with a promotional token good for 1 month of Gold! BONUS: If your friend redeems the token within 30 days, you will get 200 Microsoft Points. Tokens to download Points will expire on December 31, 2011. Once downloaded, promotional Points will expire on June 30, 2012.
The promo runs from now until July 1, and current Gold members can invite up to five friends per day. So strategize with your non-Gold friends and steal some MS Points from LIVE!
This would be great, except, you have to pay the ridiculous price MS charges instead of finding a cheaper alternative online.
