Square Enix has been milking Final Fantasy for all its worth these days, launching several different spinoff series aside from its currently fourteen-strong main franchise. Now it would appear that another spinoff could be in the works, as hinted by the European trademark database.
Square Enix not only filed a trademark on the name “Final Fantasy Type-0” (that’s “zero”, by the way), but also a logo with Type-0 written in both English and Japanese kanji. While that’s all the details we have to work with (we can’t even say for sure that Type-0 will be a game), but this is certainly interesting news for Final Fantasy fans.

Wow, that’s um..fantastic at all. But rather than filing trademarks and starting new games, maybe they should be focusing on fixing FFXIV and getting Agito XIII, Versus XIII and Dissidia 012: Duodecim out.
Or will the world implode if they’re working on less than FIVE final fantasy games at any given time?
It seems Final Fantasy XIII and XIV were typos of the Final Fantasy series. Let’s hope this one won’t be
Wake me up when the make a decent FF, been asleep since FFX.
I am glad they are “live” cut scenes for this game, and that should help ..
Shouldn’t they be worrying about their current FF games instead of starting new ones……. although this could just be a new name of one of the current ones in development.
I see it now
