It looks like PETA is opposed to even the positive portrayal of human meat in semi-popular culture–the pro-vegan group have created a parody of Super Meat Boy with Team Tofu’s Super Tofu Boy.

It looks more like the original Meat Boy game, so it should probably be called plain old Tofu Boy, but “plain old tofu” is a bit redundant, so I see where they’re coming from there. Besides, reading PETA’s character descriptions, it’s obvious they’re unaware of certain major aspects of either game, like the fact that Meat Boy is a human boy without skin, not a chunk of animal burger bits.

Team Meat has responded to the game kindly, with a post by Edmund expressing gratitude at having its underground game turned into a mainstream parody, and a relevant joke to round out the general Meaty feeling:

Q: “How many PETA members does it take to change a light bulb?”

A: “None. PETA can’t change anything.”

  8. Good post bro, PETA tried so hard, and then ended up failing. It would be awesome if Ted Nugent was a boss that you could never beat for Tofu Boy.

  10. The thing i find odd about this is the PETA game is actually very well presented for what it is, shame they don’t put their resources (in this instance) to better use.

Oh and check out the video of Tofu Boy on the team meat website, it’s LULZ how feeble they made Tofu Boy, fucking hillarious.
