The Latest

The nice folks at Rockstar and Team Bondi just keep doling out the goods on L.A Noire, and I am just fine with it! The latest installment is a developer diary in which the game’s Writer/Director, Brendan McNamara, takes us a bit further into the technology that they are using to capture the faces of the actors for the game.

It is no secret that Team Bondi and Rockstar are playing up the new technology, and many journalists who have had hands on time with L.A. Noire are saying that this new capture process could (read: will) redefine the way performance capture is done in video games in the future. Though it is difficult to tell while watching five or ten seconds of the characters at a time, it does look pretty amazing.  I am curious, however, to know what you guys think of the performance capture in L.A. Noire (so far). Does it feel like a big leap forward, with more nuance and believability, or does it take us too far into the uncanny valley?

Check out the video below and let us know what you think!!
