Sony revealed that their multiplayer shootfest, MAG, is now available for purchase on PlayStation Network. The 4.7 GB download will set you back $29.99, the same price as the boxed “Greatest Hits” version available in stores now.

However, if you’re a PlayStation Plus member who’s still on the fence about whether or not MAG is worth your hard-earned money, then Sony has a deal for you, as the game will also be available as an exclusive free game trial for Plus users.

You get to play the game and its original modes at no cost (well, aside from what you pay for Plus access, that is) for as long as you’re a member. There is one caveat, and that is the level 8 character cap that won’t let your character progress beyond that if you’re still on the free trial. However, should you eventually buy the game, you’ll receive credit for time played.
