Artificial Mind and Movement is pulling a Prince and reclaiming its original name, Behaviour Interactive.
As the “largest independent game developer in Canada” with 375 employees and titles across all platforms, A2M plans to shift focus to creating new IPs while still doing work-for-hire for major publishing companies.
A2M was officially re-branded to keep pace with its evolution as an indie developer and “founder of the Montreal community,” CEO and founder Rémi Racine said, although we’re sure the fact that “A2M” is also a dirty acronym helped support the name change internally.
In the first major move under its new old name, Behaviour announced Wet 2 and Naughty Bear 2 are in development for multi-platform release. The original Wet suffered from last-minute marketing under Bethesda, caught in the aftermath of the Activision Blizzard merger, Racine said.He made no excuses for Naughty Bear.
Behaviour will also focus on PSN and XBLA originals and iOS system games, Racine said, along with smaller titles across genres and platforms, including a Facebook game set for launch in November and a casual MMO in early 2011.
Three cheers for indie developers in making major news – is anyone here pumped for a revamped Wet game or Naughty Bear 2? Leave us some thoughts on these games and the indie market as a whole in the comments!

With games like Wet and Naughty Bear, A2M seemed like the perfect company game. Watch out for their new game coming in 2011, Slippery Vengeance!
Holy shit, I loved WET for it’s grindhouse movie style and action packed combat, but it definitely suffered from some technical problems and the plot could have been a little better, meaning there is plenty of room for them to improve and create a great series.
I feel like Wet and Naughtybear shouldn't even exist let alone make a sequel out of it. WTF.
