The Nintendo DS Lite is already a powerhouse in the sales department, but Nintendo is apparently trying to squeeze even more sales out of the dominating dual-screen handheld by reducing the system’s price from $129.99 to $99.99, effective June 5.
Additionally, a bunch of Mario games (pictured above) will be re-cased in shiny, new, red boxes–according to Nintendo, this is to ensure easy pickin’ when perusing the game store’s shelves.
How do you feel about this reduction in price? Will it be effective in gaining new sales? Or, will it not phase the industry either way?
