The Latest

Daniel Erickson, writing director for Star Wars: The Old Republic and lead systems designer Gabe Amantangelo sat down with GameSpot to answer some questions and reveal *part* of what we can expect to see from the game at the show next week.

Daniel Erickson: “We’re just going to set players in front of the game on Tatooine, give them a speeder, and let them run around and see our take on Star Wars’ most iconic world. All stations will be on the Imperial side, with all four classes available–Sith warrior, Sith inquisitor, bounty hunter, and Imperial agent.” (Sorry Republic)

One of the most exciting pieces of news is the debut of Blur Studio’s final Star Wars: The Old Republic CG trilogy we have come to appreciate. These include the “Deceived” and “Hope of Alderaan” cinematic trailers. Based on the previous 2 trailers, we can expect something epic.
On the floor at E3, there will be some hands-on time with Tatooine, as well as some first looks at boss fights and some end-game content raids, or “Operations” as they call them. Also on the agenda are mounts, crafting, in-game economy, some PvP details and space gameplay!

The bounty is out on BioWare – so hopefully we’ll all get a chance to collect on the show floor at E3 next week. Check out the Star Wars: The Old Republic official E3 2011 trailer below, and let us know what you want to see or hear about most at next week’s show!
