PS3–it only does everything, including tell you how to hack your own console.
Fictional Sony spokesman Kevin Butler retweeted the PS3 jailbreak key currently causing a Sony scandal, thinking the code was a challenge to a game of Battleship.
Travis La Marr (@exiva) tweeted the root key to the Kevin Butler Twitter account with the sign-off, “Come at me, @TheKevinButler.” And the Butler account retweeted the entire thing, asking, “Lemme guess… you sank my Battleship?”
Sorry, Mr. Butler–I don’t know how Battleship works in Satirical Fictional Spokesperson Land, but in America it doesn’t have 97 vertical coordinates.
Sony has since pulled the tweet, although if its ongoing lawsuit against every gamer alive escalates any farther, they may have to consider suing themselves for the flub.
Sony is currently suing anyone and any corporation involved in the recent hacking hooplah:
- George Hotz, the hacker who refined the jailbreak code and posted a how-to video on YouTube
- The “fail0verflow hacking team,” asking Twitter to reveal the personal information of usernames @KaKaRoToKS, @gnihsub, @pytey, @bl4sty, @marcan42 and @fail0verflow
- Google, for owning YouTube. Sony is also seeking the IP addresses and personal information of anyone who viewed or commented on Hotz’s hacking video
Wow…this is a hilarious situation…Sony trying to sue the internet…

the code’s already out there, then why bother suing anyone? It’s not like it’s going to turn back time. All you’re going to accomplish at that point. Is losing face with the people who buy your products, essentially telling them that they don’t truly own what they paid (A lot of) hard earned money for.
Seems like an overreaction on Sony’s part in an effort to prevent a repeat of the PSP, with all it’s hacked software. Honestly, what else would they do?

Theres no way Kevin Butler knows anything about XMB or anykind of programing and there is no way he would have any access to that kind of information anyway and even if he would he woulndnt know what it is and what to do with it
also there is only hand full of people that would know what to do with that code anyway.. it was design for those few that know and understand the joke
