The Latest

To ring in the New Year, Proxy Studios have revealed that their debut turn-based strategy title, Conquest: Divide and Conquer, has gotten a massive update.

The new update brings a host of desired additions to the tabletop, including offline play, presentation improvements like detailed shadows and bump mapping, unit travel, and death animations. Additionally, for “the more mature audience” (which we can only assume means they play the game in a elegant bathrobe with a cigar and a snifter of Brandy while Michael Buble gently serenades in the background), Proxy has added gore.

“Our plan all along was to present a certain dark and gritty atmosphere, and with the recent improvements to our game engine our goal is becoming easier and easier to realize,” Proxy stated in a press release. “This is our style and you can be sure we will never create a flower power game.”

The developer also released a new video showcasing the changes, which you can check out here. So what say you, Conquest fans, can you dig the new improvements?
