We all know about the legal issues that occurred at Infinity Ward after the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. The departure of several members of the development company might have made some gamers worry about the future of the series. The good news is that Modern Warfare 3 is slated to be released in November, on schedule with the usual development cycle, but according to Kotaku and other sources, Infinity Ward is not alone in its race to finish the new Modern Warfare title.

Sledgehammer; an Activision studio "headed by two of the top creators behind the horror si-fi series Dead Space." Sledgehammer is reportedly working on the Single player version of the game while Infinity Ward is focusing on the ever important Multiplayer. Gamers can rejoice in the fact that there will be a new Call of Duty this year to slake their thirst. Hopefully the internal problems of Infinity Ward will not have an adverse affect on the quality of the title.
