The Latest

To coincide with the December 21st release of the first Neo Geo games for the PSN, SNK has partnered with Exar to release the above pictured Neo Geo Pad USB for the PlayStation 3. The pad, a replica of the one included with the Neo Geo CD System (with a couple of extra buttons), retails for around $50. Unfortunately, however, the device is currently on back-order on both NCSX and Play-Asia.

So what say you? Are you willing to spend 50 bucks for a Neo Geo specific controller? For that kind of moolah you could just about buy the upcoming Mass Effect 2 release for the PlayStation 3. Doesn’t seem like a tough choice to me.

  5. Does it really need to be $50? No six-axis and it’s not even wireless. Hmmmmm….. ME2 for me!

  7. More than that, it only has one analog stick, meaning it’s more or less useless for most PS3 games. Doesn’t seem worth it to me, considering the limited use it will get. I’m quite fond of the sixaxis/dualshock 3 thank you.

  9. Its not for PS3 games … it’s for fighting games. This looks better than the SF4 fight pads from madcatz. Too bad no 360 version though, cause they’ve only been releasing games there for a while now.
