The PS3 demo of Mass Effect 2 may not be the legendary “definitive” version of the game, but it is certainly a facelift for the title.
Running on the Mass Effect 3 engine, PS3′s ME2 is undoubtedly different from the Xbox 360 version, graphically and performance-wise.
Eurogamer provides a comprehensive breakdown of the changes in the PS3 version, including side-by-side comparison videos, a comparison gallery and analysis of known technical changes for the Sony system.
Most notably, it appears some scenes on the PS3 have been rendered using lower-precision effects than the Xbox 360 version and frame-rate runs unlocked.
