Call of Duty: Black Ops has been tearing up the Xbox LIVE charts since it released last month, quickly becoming one of the most successful multiplayer games ever on the service. However, there are still some hold outs that refuse to pay for an Xbox LIVE Gold subscription, and thus are missing out on what the game has to offer online gamers. Luckily for them, Activision will give them a sample of what they’re missing, as from January 28 through January 30, Xbox LIVE Silver subscribers will getting access to the game’s multiplayer modes at no cost.
This is more than just Activision being generous, however, as the free weekend coincides strategically with “First Strike”, the first add-on pack for the game, set to launch on Xbox LIVE February 1.
So, any Silver subscribers here plan on taking advantage of the opportunity?
