Fans of Epic Games can look forward to the unveiling of a new IP at the 2011 Game Developers Conference as Epic’s Cliff Bleszinksi recently revealed in the latest issue of EGM.
Encouraging gamers to keep their “eyes peeled at GDC”, Bleszinksi went on to talk about today’s game designers and the relationship between innovation and established experiences.
“I believe game designers are the Stan Lees and Jack Kirbys of our day, and we’re creating these universes that leave a huge impact on people.” said Bleszinksi. “Gamers votes with their dollars and they often like established IP, but those IPs came from somewhere, right? Call of Duty was crafted by the original Medal of Honor guys. Gears of War was crafted by the original Unreal Tournament guy. I look forward to creating what’s next.”
So, are YOU looking forward to what’s next? Any guesses as to what it may be or what platform(s) it will be on? Consider that the lead designer on Prototype, Eric Holmes, is leading the way on the new project when conjuring up your comments.
GDC 2011 is set to take place from February 28th thru March 4th in San Francisco.

What I would give for a good story driven first person shooter with GOOD GRAPHICS (sorry, btu i’m not a fan of unreal engine). More then likely it’ll be an infamous clone with a little gun-play….until i see the review scores i will be sceptical of whatever this new ip is
Tbh I’ve just seen an image in my mind where Cliff announced that new game and it was for… iPHONE
as longest it has nothing to do with singing, dancing waving hands while riding on the skateboard.. it should good start of new series (hopefully)
When ever this game comes out, it will be pushed back after the date has been announced on Jimmy Fallon…
Gabriel your post made me lawl.
This announcement better be good. I hope that it is not the Gears reveal that was supposed to be at the VGAs. Lets all wait and see.
