North American gamers looking to once again jump into the fray with Tecmo Koei’s Dynasty Warriors franchise can look forward to the seventh installment of the tactical action series releasing on March 22, 2011. UK gamers will get the game on March 25.

In addition, word of a new “Chronicle Mode” is making its way around the net which apparently translates to the inclusion of free-roaming functionality where you’ll get the chance to select one of the game’s many characters, a “support animal”, and whoop some tail around a “Romance of the Three Kingdoms-era China”.

We’ll await more details on the Chronicle Mode and all things Dynasty Warriors 7 and get them to you as soon as they emerge.
