When EA acquired the rights to Midway’s once-popular NBA Jam series, it appears that lumped into the deal were the rights to the hard hitting arcade football title NFL Blitz. Well, an anonymous tipster has broken the huddle long enough to contact Giant Bomb and inform the masses that a reboot of said frantic football title is also in the works down at EA Tiburon where Blitz co-creator Mark Turmell now has an employee parking spot.

Details are sketchy, as in they hardly exist, but the tipster did state that a multi-platform release coming sometime in 2012 was in EA’s playbook.
