That’s right, Nintendo, makers of a little known game system called the Wii, will be exhibiting at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2011, the first such exhibition for the gaming behemoth in 16 years. The event, held from January 6^th to January 9^th, has always featured tons of tech goodies for the masses, but lost a bit of its game focus to the likes of E3, the Tokyo Game Show, and Leipzig over the past few years.
But it would seem that CES is trying to change all that. With the addition of Nintendo, CES now sports the big three, including Microsoft and Sony, as well as Intel and AMD, makers of the PC processors we all love. Whether it was the lure Las Vegas or a stronger push for gaming at CES that wooed Nintendo back is unclear, but either way, maybe we will get some more details of their upcoming 3DS launch sooner than we thought!

EDIT: Well, it seems that the CEA had a small case of premature Wiijaculation when they proclaimed, erroneously, that Nintendo would be exhibiting at CES this year. Nope, it seems there will be no exhibitionism going on by Nintendo in Vegas come January, just meetings. So you can all put your  7* dongles (hey – I’m talkin’ about the Wiimote) back in their holsters! Thx for the heads up CoffeewithGames!
