So, we all know that many of you PS3 gamers are bummed out that LittleBigPlanet 2 will not be making its way to store shelves before Christmas, instead launching in January 18. However, there is some good news from the LBP camp, all on the way this December.
First on the list is Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves, a new spin-off game that will launch on December 14 via the PlayStation Network. This standalone spin-off requires the PlayStation Move (and PlayStation Eye camera, naturally) and a buddy or three to play with (each with a DualShock controller), as it is an offline co-op only experience. You’ll team up to control the titular hero as he works his way through 10 dinosaur-themed levels and a variety of challenges, earning Trophies along the way. The game will be included with LittleBigPlanet 2 when it releases, but if you simply MUST have it before then, you can pick it up on the PlayStation Store (PlayStation Plus users will be able to pick up the PSN title not only free, but a week earlier on December 7).
Secondly, Sony will be releasing a LittleBigPlanet 2 Story Mode demo on December 21, giving players a look at the some of the game’s new gameplay features like the new Grapple Hook and the Creatinator.
And finally, they will be extending the LBP 2 Beta trial, sending out a new batch of beta invites in early December to Plus subscribers, community contributors, and some though giveaways. So, even though LBP 2 won’t be releasing until a month later, December still seems like a pretty busy month for you Sackboy fanatics out there.
