THQ revealed to IGN that their upcoming action sequel, Darksiders 2, would miss its original projected release in the publisher’s 2012 fiscal year (April 2011 through March 31, 2012), and would instead release in the early 2013 fiscal year, meaning that it won’t see the light of day until at least April 2012.
“We want to release a key title in each quarter over the next two and a half years,” a THQ spokesperson said in a statement given to IGN. “We have moved UFC Undisputed to Q4 of fiscal year 2012. That was the original target for Darksiders 2. Therefore, we decided to move Darksiders 2 to early fiscal year 2013.”
So it seems that THQ has pulled the ol’ switcheroo, opting to release the next UFC Undisputed game in Darksiders 2’s place in Q4 2011.
How do you feel about the slip, gamers? What did you think of the original Darksiders? Let us know in the comments!

Loved the first game, looking forward to the second. Sucks that THQ doesn’t have faith in the IP, but at least we’re getting a sequel. Better this than another Red Faction game.
Oh wait…
I waited for this game for 4 years and it didn’t disappoint at all. I think it’s kinda ridiculous that it’s getting bumped for undisputed (a title that’s sales numbers slip a little more each year because it has even less new material than EA sports games).
I ripped THQ apart in one of my previous articles. Besides Spongebob and UFC they don't have too much money coming in cause most of their other games are either awful, or only targeted towards certain demographics.
That is true, THQ is very selfish sometimes but hopefully they rise up from their ashes.
