Even if you didn’t find Platinum Games’ Bayonetta to be the best game of the year (many of you out there did), you can’t deny that it was definitely one of the most visually interesting and fast-paced games of 2010. Well now, SEGA has released a new video that paints a different picture of the action game, and shows the transition that the spectacled heroine went through.

The new prototype video showcases the opening fifteen or so minutes of the game as it once was, with different menus, some placeholder scenery, and action that runs a skosh slower. While it’s not a far cry from what the final game ended up looking like, it’s still an interesting look at the evolution that the game made before the final product launched.
