MonkeyPaw Games has announced that it will extend its support for the classic RPG series Arc the Lad with this week’s release of Arc the Lad II and Arc Arena: Monster Tournament via PSN. As you may or may not know, Arc the Lad II is widely considered as the most popular chapter in the series with its bigger battles, additional characters, harder bosses, and deep, compelling story that will “entwine your senses in a thoroughly enjoyable RPG experience”. Nice. Meanwhile, the folks at MonkeyPaw ensure us that the tactical fighting that made the Arc series famous will keep you at your joypad for unending hours.

Arc Arena on the other hand is an add-on game where you can use your creatures captured within Arc the Lad II to battle friend’s characters in a tournament match. If you’re feeling less competitive, you can also trade items, swap weapons and/or exchange monsters – THEN kick each other’s ass…
The games will be bundled in one package for $8.99. Alternatively, you can pick up Arc the Lad II sans the Arena for $5.99 when they release this Tuesday.
